About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Lead Support Worker to join our team in Westbury-on-Severn. As a Lead Support Worker, you will provide exceptional day-to-day support to individuals with complex needs, empowering them to overcome barriers and participate fully in their community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in all aspects of their daily life, enabling their fullest participation in the life of their community.
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to achieve personal outcomes.
  • Liaise with external professionals to devise support plans and risk assessments.
  • Communicate specialist knowledge to colleagues to ensure a coherent and integrated package of support.
  • Line manage support workers in the future.

Requirements

  • Patient, calm, and supportive with good observational and listening skills.
  • Ability to react quickly in changing situations.
  • Resilience to manage challenging behaviors.
  • Experience working with people with learning disabilities, including those with challenging behaviors.
  • Diploma in Health and Social Care (Level 2) or equivalent; Level 3 desirable.
