Role Overview: We seek a versatile tutor who can adjust to diverse teaching settings, cater to various student requirements, and manage a proactive schedule that may involve traveling between different locations.

As a Tutor in our Supported Internship programme, you will join a compassionate team focused on empowering young individuals with learning disabilities, difficulties, and/or autism as they transition into the workforce.

Your Responsibilities: Your role encompasses more than just teaching English and Maths; you will be instrumental in integrating these subjects into lessons on employability and preparing for adulthood.

Beyond academics, you will motivate and instill essential life skills, shaping how your learners engage with and contribute to their broader community.

Planning and Development: There will be a designated class-planning day each week for tutors. Join us in this transformative journey of education, empowerment, and community integration.

Unique Opportunity: This position allows you to significantly contribute to the development and growth of individuals with SEN, enhancing their skills and independence in a meaningful manner.

Qualifications Required:

  • A-C/9-4 English & Maths GCSE (or equivalent)
  • Recognized teaching qualification at level 5 (DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd, Level 3 PTTLs considered)
  • Experience in delivering and assessing functional skills English and Maths up to level 2
  • Strong time management and planning abilities

Additional Information: All candidates invited for an interview will need to provide evidence of their GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) and proof of their teaching qualification.
