Project Manager Contractor
At Redd Brick Recruitment, we are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join a prominent regional contractor specializing in educational, commercial, and residential accommodation projects. This role is crucial as we expand our operations in the Midlands region.

Project Manager Overview
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the construction of commercial projects from the initial planning stages through to completion.

Your primary objective will be to ensure that each project is completed on schedule, within budget, and meets the highest standards of quality and safety.

Project Manager Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Engage in projects from tendering to final delivery.
  • Develop and review the project schedule.
  • Collaborate closely with subcontractors to maintain quality assurance.
  • Work effectively with all members of the site delivery team to facilitate communication and resolve issues.
  • Organize and oversee the construction process in line with the provided specifications.
  • Ensure that all construction activities adhere to statutory regulations.
  • Foster strong working relationships with subcontractors to ensure timely project milestones.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare material take-offs and project timelines.
  • Adhere to all site-wide regulations and protocols.
  • Ensure timely handover of completed projects to clients, meeting agreed quality standards and budget constraints.
Project Manager Requirements
  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, with a proven history of managing construction projects valued around £10 million in the education, accommodation, and commercial sectors.
  • Experience in bids, programming, and design management is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification is essential. First Aid, CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card, and other relevant qualifications are preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in project management software and the MS Office Suite is required.
