Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inventory Management Specialist to join our team at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring that our facilities are well-stocked and that our patients receive the best possible care.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the inventory of medical supplies and equipment, including ordering, receiving, and storing.
- Develop and implement inventory management systems and processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand their needs and preferences.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to our patients and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- GCSE level A to C or equivalent in at least two from maths, English, and Science.
- Previous experience as an MLA in a UKAS accredited UK Pathology lab.
- Excellent relevant technical skills, including literacy and numeracy.
- Ability to use initiative and pay attention to detail.
- Physical capability to perform laboratory duties.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience as MLA in Haematology/Molecular Pathology.
- Experience of analysers and simple troubleshooting.
- Clinical application of tests conducted. Aware of requirements for UKAS compliance.
Skills and Knowledge
- Practical understanding of an extended range of routine work procedures that contribute to the diagnostic process.
- Ability to follow detailed and complex protocols.
- Organisational skills, initiative, and ability to prioritise.
