Job Description: Become a vital member of our innovative team at the Silverstone Facility as a Senior Aerodynamics Engineer (Thermal). In this role, you will work alongside a talented group of engineers to design and optimize aerodynamic thermal systems for our race vehicles, ensuring peak performance through cutting-edge design and analytical techniques. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design aerodynamic cooling solutions for various components including powertrain, brakes, and electronics.
  • Evaluate CFD and wind tunnel results to improve aerodynamic efficiency.
  • Comprehend aerodynamic structures surrounding the race car.
  • Develop and execute aerodynamic thermal development strategies.
  • Implement new techniques to boost the efficiency of aerodynamic processes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance performance through collective insights.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar position within the motorsport sector.
  • Deep understanding of aero thermal management for powertrain, brakes, and electronics.
  • Strong knowledge of numerical methods and fluid dynamics.
  • Familiarity with CFD thermal techniques and result interpretation.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably 3DExperience/CATIA).
  • Ability to plan and manage projects effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders.
  • Competence in MS Office applications.
