Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous Warehouse Specialist to manage our third-party logistics (3PL) partnership. This role will involve overseeing inbound goods, ensuring they align with purchase orders, and addressing any discrepancies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and possess strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Inbound Goods Oversight:

  • Manage the daily receipt of goods, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders.
  • Quickly resolve discrepancies by liaising with suppliers and the 3PL provider.
  • Establish and uphold efficient procedures for receiving goods.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy.

Communication with Stakeholders:

  • Serve as the main contact for all inquiries related to 3PL operations.
  • Effectively communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and the 3PL provider to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Provide updates to senior management regarding warehouse operations and key issues.

Management of Outbound Orders:

  • Oversee the fulfillment of outbound orders to guarantee accurate and timely dispatch.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped according to customer specifications.
  • Monitor processing times and implement enhancements to boost efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs):

  • Ensure adherence to SLAs for goods booking and order fulfillment.
  • Implement corrective measures and process improvements when SLAs are not met.

Cost Management Strategies:

  • Analyze costs related to damaged goods and devise strategies to minimize these expenses.
  • Track and report on cost-saving initiatives and their impact on operations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure cost-effective practices.

Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Ensure the availability of necessary supplies, such as samples and packaging materials.
  • Maintain supplier relationships to guarantee timely delivery of packaging materials.

Forecasting and Planning:

  • Provide forecasts and projections to the 3PL provider to prepare for demand fluctuations.
  • Work with reordering and marketing teams to anticipate demand spikes and plan inventory accordingly.
  • Utilize data analytics to enhance forecasting accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with a 3PL provider is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
