CPI is seeking a talented Placement Student to join our Product Design team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. As a Placement Student, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including medical technologies, healthcare, and life sciences.
The Role
As a Placement Student, you will assist our team members with research, design, prototyping, and testing of electro-mechanical devices. You will also gain expertise in additive manufacturing, including design, operation, and maintenance of such systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical devices
- Develop expertise in additive manufacturing, including design, operation, and maintenance of systems
- Contribute to the development of new and innovative manufacturing processes or demonstration devices
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should be studying towards an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product or Industrial Design, or a related field. You should have some knowledge and practical experience of design, development, and manufacture of mechanical devices, as well as experience in using 3D CAD software and rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printing.
