Job Title: 1st/2nd Line IT Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated 1st/2nd Line IT Engineer to join our dynamic team at Bond Bryan. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and services to our staff across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line support for all IT-related issues, including hardware and software troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Assist users with connectivity issues and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions across various systems.
  • Handle basic email support and configuration.
2nd Line Duties:
  • Diagnose and resolve more complex IT issues, escalating to 3rd line support when necessary.
  • Manage and maintain Windows Server environments and hybrid setups with 365.
  • Implement and support MS Intune for device management and security compliance.
  • Administer SharePoint sites and permissions.
  • Oversee Veeam Backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Configure and monitor Sophos Central for endpoint protection.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco Meraki network devices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate).
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in MacOS and Windows OS.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server administration.
  • Knowledge of Exchange OnPrem and Office 365 administration.
  • Familiarity with hybrid setups involving Windows Server and Office 365.
  • Experience with MS Intune for device management.
  • Understanding of SharePoint administration and support.
  • Proficiency in Veeam Backup solutions.
  • Competence with Sophos Central for endpoint security.
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki network solutions.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in a 1st/2nd line support role.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Experience in supporting users in a multi-location environment.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience with remote support tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of network fundamentals and basic networking principles.

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):
  • Microsoft Certified: MCP, Azure Fundamentals or Associate.
  • Apple Certified: Desktop Specialist.
  • Any other relevant certifications in networking, security, or cloud technologies.
  • Knowledge of ArchiCAD and BIMCloud solutions.
