Job Overview

Advance TRS is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bridge Design Lead to join our team. As a specialist bridge engineering company, we are looking for a talented individual to lead our design engineering team and take on a key role in the development of our bridge design projects.

About the Role

We are looking for a Structural Engineering Manager with a passion for bridge engineering and a strong technical background. The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and will be able to demonstrate recent experience in bridge design in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design aspects of bridge projects, ensuring that designs are innovative, efficient, and meet client requirements.
  • Carry out structural analysis and design for all types of bridges, including steel, concrete, and composite bridges.
  • Liaise and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide expertise during the construction phase, ensuring that designs are implemented correctly and that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Assist with mentoring junior engineers, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Recent experience in bridge design in the UK.
  • Chartered status (ICE/IStuctE) or be close to achieving it.
  • A valid full driving license.
