Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Principal Bridge Engineer to join our design engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading technical design aspects of bridge projects, collaborating with clients and stakeholders, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Take a lead in all technical design aspects of bridge projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Structural Analysis and Design: Carry out structural analysis and design for various types of bridges, including steel, concrete, and composite bridges.
  • Client Collaboration: Liaise and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Project Support: Provide expertise during the construction phase, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Mentorship: Assist with mentoring junior engineers to increase their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Professional Qualification: Ideally Chartered (ICE/IStuctE), or very close to achieving it
  • Experience: Must have recent specialist knowledge of bridge design in the UK
  • Driving License: Must hold a valid full driving license
