About The Role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Offer guidance on employment legislation and employee relations to management and staff.
  • Assist managers in conducting formal meetings while ensuring compliance with legal standards and risk management.
  • Oversee and support employees on long-term sick leave, ensuring proper Occupational Health referrals and facilitating their return to work when feasible.
  • Administer and provide counsel on family leave and flexible working arrangements.
  • Ensure that probationary reviews for new employees are conducted according to company policies.
  • Establish effective performance management processes and assist managers in implementing these procedures as necessary.
  • Develop, review, and maintain HR policies and documentation, incorporating insights from recent legal updates and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of training programs for managers to enhance their HR management skills.
  • Manage the bi-annual employee engagement survey across the UK.
  • Assist in generating people management reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of HR Operations and HR Business Partners to execute the people strategy, including initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), corporate social responsibility (CSR), health and wellbeing, recognition, talent management, and succession planning.
  • Support organizational change initiatives in alignment with design requirements.
  • Conduct exit interviews for departing employees, analyzing trends in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement within the HR function.
  • Represent the HR department with professionalism and integrity.
Objectives and Key Results:
  • Deliver timely and effective support for HR inquiries and issues from leaders and employees.
  • Foster strong relationships with the HR team and stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Manage employee relations cases in accordance with UK employment laws.
  • Assist leaders in effectively managing probationary periods, flexible working requests, and processes related to maternity and sickness.
  • Ensure that company policies and documentation are current and compliant with employment legislation.
  • Generate monthly people management data and metrics.
  • Successfully oversee the bi-annual employee engagement survey and analyze results.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of tasks and projects supporting the Head of UK HR & Operations and HR Business Partners, meeting all deadlines.
Project Support May Include:
  • Training for line managers, DEI initiatives, succession planning, and talent management.
  • Administration of HRIS databases, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Staying informed on relevant HR updates, training, and best practices.
  • Engaging with managers and employees to support business needs.
  • Maintaining a mindset focused on continuous improvement and proactively suggesting enhancements to the HR team.
