Role Overview

In this position, you will be tasked with crafting and executing our Group Corporate Communications strategy. Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will be based at our headquarters.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading the creation and dissemination of press releases and public statements. Effectively managing inquiries from business and retail media. Collaborating with the communications team to execute key business milestones. Assisting in the management of the Group's Communications Calendar and identifying new opportunities for the executive team. Working in partnership with relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless information flow across the organization. Coordinating with the People team to align internal and external communication strategies. Developing long-term communication plans with external corporate PR consultants. Overseeing and mentoring the Press Officer and Group PR Assistant. Monitoring and analyzing social, economic, and political trends. Bringing a well-established network of journalists and industry contacts.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' experience in Public Relations and Communications. Ability to strategize and consider the broader business image. Experience in a large retail organization is advantageous but not mandatory. Proven experience in supporting corporate communications and financial reporting. Excellent communication skills with a strong command of written English and meticulous attention to detail. Comprehensive understanding of PR channels, media outlets, and broadcasting networks. Strong organizational abilities, time management skills, and the capacity to prioritize and multitask. A business-oriented individual with insights into retail, corporate branding, and communications.
