Job Summary

GE Power Portfolio is seeking a skilled Electrical and Mechanical Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Power Conversion business, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our site teams and repair centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and mechanical technician support to site teams and repair centers.
  • Install, maintain, modify, and control power conversion equipment sub-assemblies.
  • Inspect GE supplied equipment before delivery, in storage, and after installation.
  • Carry out planned maintenance before, during, and after commissioning.
  • Visit customer vessels to perform planned maintenance and assist Field Engineers with breakdowns.
  • Perform panel wiring modifications and remedial work, upgrade installation on GE supplied equipment.
  • Comply with company and customer EHS policies and procedures.
  • Assist GE commissioning engineers.
  • Assist with stores control and movement of material on/off site.
Requirements
  • Electrical technicians certificate, mechanical technicians certificate, or equivalent from a reputable College.
  • Practical engineering background.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Ability to use basic computer software.
  • Recognized health and safety training.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Flexibility around working patterns in accordance with business needs.

Additional Information
