Job Title: Head of Delivery

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Delivery to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex projects and ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of complex projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including sponsors, key stakeholders, and delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to delivery teams, ensuring that they have the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to deliver projects successfully.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the business and its goals, and use this knowledge to inform delivery decisions.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve delivery processes and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in complex deliveries, migration activities, and propositional work.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a large multi-organisational unit.
  • Experience in Financial Services would be highly beneficial.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire delivery teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.

What We Offer:

  • Starting salary between £100,000 and £125,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
  • Bonus opportunity – 25% of annual salary (actual amount depends on performance and Aviva's).
  • Generous pension scheme – Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in.
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days.
