Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team at Leonardo Helicopters. As a key member of our Structures Team, you will be responsible for developing structural design solutions in collaboration with other engineering departments and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement structural design solutions for our product range, including conventional helicopters, tilt rotors, and unmanned air systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure airworthiness compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct static and dynamic analysis, and test activities to ensure structural integrity.
  • Mentor and lead teams of Structural Engineers to achieve delivery of fit-for-purpose design solutions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in structural analysis and design, with a strong understanding of finite element methods and airworthiness regulations.
  • Expert knowledge in conventional and numerical techniques for static analysis, including fatigue and damage tolerance.
  • Experience in using MSC NASTRAN and Altair HyperMesh.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of non-linear dynamic solutions, such as crash modeling and impact using Abaqus.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and leading projects to successful completion.
