Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special education needs school in Luton. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and challenging behaviors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with academic tasks and provide individualized support
  • Encourage independence and self-confidence in students
  • Safeguard all children and maintain a safe learning environment
  • Adhere to the curriculum and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
Requirements:
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar educational support role
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (preferred)
