Job Description:

Job Title: Spiritual Development Officer

Job Summary:

The Hazrat Sultan Bahu Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Spiritual Development Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging and motivating donors in Islamic charitable giving to participate in various activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the Trust's charitable objectives.
  • Arrange and lead call to prayers and Iqamat according to Islamic law, ensuring adherence to religious protocols.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly sermons for senior Imams, maintaining accurate religious transcripts and translations.
  • Assist in organizing special services, including birthdays, funerals, Khatam Sharif, URS Sharif, Milad Day, and other religious functions.
  • Recite the Quran and Nasheeds at religious events, promoting spiritual growth and community engagement.
  • Perform other non-pastoral work in a religious order, as required.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Arabic, Urdu, and English languages.
  • Qualification equivalent to GCSE and Basic Religious Education.
  • Previous experience working with the Sunni Sufi organization, meditating on practices, and holding a similar role.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with knowledge of the system and practice.
  • Good writing and communication skills.
  • Hafiz-e-Quran and previous work with an NGO (preferable).
