Accounts Administrator

Hays Accountancy & Finance is partnering with a growing FMCG business based in the outskirts of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to recruit for a company bookkeeper/assistant accountant on a permanent basis.
This is a varied and hands-on accounting role due to company growth. The position can offer future development as the business grows within a great culture and interesting product line.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the accounts payable function, including posting bills, making supplier payments, and account reconciliations.
- Maintain the accounts receivable function, including raising invoices, credit control, and account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly payrolls for the outsourced payroll bureau, quarterly VAT returns, bank reconciliations, ad-hoc analysis including sales revenue, translating budgets, and supporting department heads.
- Maintain accounting records using Sage 50 and be involved in ad-hoc duties/projects for senior management.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar position, Sage 50 knowledge, with previous bookkeeping experience.
- High attention to detail, skilled at data entry, and used to managing workloads to meet deadlines.
- Key MS Excel skills, strong communication skills to build both internal/external relationships with a proactive and positive working approach.
What You'll Get in Return
This permanent Company Bookkeeper role offers a salary between £30,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
