About the Role

Crisis Skylight Brent is seeking a skilled Engagement and Assessment Worker to join their team. As a key member of the Engagement and Assessment Team, you will provide a high-quality, non-judgmental, and safe service to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing information about Crisis' services and delivering a high-quality triage and assessment service
  • Offering Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) on local homelessness and other related services
  • Managing a small caseload and working collaboratively with external partners and Crisis Skylight Brent's Coaching and Learning Teams

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working with homeless or vulnerable groups and understanding of the importance of respecting confidentiality, showing empathy, and working in a boundary way
  • Experience assessing presenting needs and working in a Psychologically Informed Environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality IAG
  • Good knowledge of homelessness, housing, and welfare legislation and Safeguarding procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deal with challenging situations calmly
