About the Role

Crisis Skylight Brent is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Engagement and Assessment Worker to join our team. As a key member of our Engagement and Assessment Team, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality, non-judgmental, and safe service to individuals who approach our Skylight Centre.

You will be the first point of contact for a range of enquiries from people who are experiencing homelessness for the first time, individuals with complex and multiple needs, visitors, volunteers, and supporters. Your primary responsibilities will include providing information about Crisis' services, delivering a high-quality triage and assessment service, and offering Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) on local homelessness and other related services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a high-quality triage and assessment service to individuals experiencing homelessness
  • Offering Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) on local homelessness and other related services
  • Managing a small caseload of clients, providing ongoing support and guidance as needed
  • Collaborating with external partners and Crisis Skylight Brent's Coaching and Learning Teams to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Attending case management meetings, reflective practice, and team meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong understanding of homelessness, housing, and welfare legislation, as well as excellent customer service skills. You will also have experience working with homeless or vulnerable groups, assessing presenting needs, and working in a Psychologically Informed Environment.
