About the Company

This Senior Mechanical Project Coordinator position is with Velocity Recruitment, a prominent player in the multi-disciplinary property sector, providing a diverse array of services to an international clientele.

As part of their comprehensive offerings, they operate as a principal contractor on various projects within their clients' existing property portfolios, which include mechanical and electrical upgrades, structural refurbishments, and commercial interior fit-outs, with project values ranging from £100k to £5 million.

Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Coordinator to oversee a data center project in Surrey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management and oversight of mechanical project components on-site.
  • Preparation of site progress documentation and reports.
  • Conduct material take-offs, select appropriate materials, and place orders.
  • Ensure proper storage of materials and maintain site inventory to facilitate daily operations.
  • Review site documentation, designs, and schematics, providing constructive feedback on installation techniques and enhancements in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Monitor overall project performance, including scheduling, labor management, health and safety compliance, and address any arising issues.
  • Oversee subcontractor documentation related to site projects, including risk assessments, method statements, and permits.
  • Engage with subcontractors regarding site progress, resource distribution, and safety performance.
  • Maintain a detailed daily site diary documenting activities, personnel, conditions, and operations.
  • Manage site materials, ensuring security and proper storage protocols are followed.
  • Conduct site inductions for all personnel and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Facilitate daily briefings and toolbox talks, documenting as required.
