Job Summary

Certain Advantage is seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for providing technical surveying services across a geographical portfolio of properties and contract management for a defined planned maintenance programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned maintenance services through external contractors
  • Manage minor works, refurbishment works, and planned repairs
  • Conduct void surveys and health and safety inspections
  • Work with homeowners, leaseholders, and market rent customers

Requirements

  • Current full driving license or ability to travel around the local area
  • Experience in surveying and contract management in the social housing sector
  • Experience of monitoring works budgets up to £500k
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to anticipate customer needs
  • Procurement and performance management skills
  • Project coordination and health and safety expertise
  • Knowledge of current health and safety standards and building maintenance legislation
  • Commercial awareness and risk management skills
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and deliver to challenging targets
  • Confident user of IT and Microsoft products
  • Creative problem-solving and analytical skills

Working Arrangements

You will work from Monday to Thursday in our communities, with Friday typically being an administrative meeting day.
