Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for contributing to law enforcement and forensic science? If you thrive in a structured environment and possess a keen eye for detail, we invite you to consider a role within our Forensic Services, specifically in the Fingerprint Analysis Team.

As a Fingerprint Analysis Specialist, you will engage in laboratory-based activities utilizing advanced techniques to enhance, develop, and recover fingerprints from various items collected from crime scenes. Your expertise will play a crucial role in identifying individuals and supporting police investigations. While the majority of your work will occur in a laboratory setting, there may be occasions where your skills are required at crime scenes to apply specialized techniques.

We are looking for motivated and innovative individuals to join our team. Comprehensive training will be provided upon appointment, and we welcome applications from those with prior experience in fingerprint examination. Your starting salary will be reflective of your experience.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum of QCF Level 2 in English, Maths, and a science subject, or equivalent work experience.
  • A valid full Category B DVLA Driving License for at least 12 months prior to employment, along with reliable transportation. Employment confirmation will depend on passing the Police Driving Assessment.

Essential Experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer and administrative skills.
  • Ability to handle exhibits carefully to preserve any forensic evidence present.
