Are you a detail-oriented individual who is driven by processes and eager to contribute to law enforcement efforts through technical expertise? If so, we invite you to consider a role within our Forensic Services, specifically in the Fingerprint Analysis Team.
As a Fingerprint Analysis Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team that operates in a laboratory setting, utilizing advanced techniques to enhance, develop, and recover fingerprints from various items collected at crime scenes. Your work will play a crucial role in identifying individuals and supporting police investigations. While the majority of your tasks will be conducted in the lab, there may be occasions where you will be required to assist at crime scenes, applying your specialized skills to aid the investigative process.
We provide comprehensive training upon your appointment, and we encourage applications from both seasoned professionals and those new to the field. Your starting salary will be commensurate with your experience.
Essential Qualifications
- Must possess qualifications equivalent to QCF Level 2 in English, Maths, and a science subject, or have relevant work experience that demonstrates comparable skills.
- A valid full Category B DVLA Driving License is required, held for at least 12 months prior to employment, along with access to reliable transportation. Employment confirmation will depend on passing the Police Driving Assessment.
Essential Experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer and administrative skills.
- Ability to handle exhibits carefully to preserve any forensic evidence present.
