About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Network Rail as an Operative (B&C) and be part of a team that plays a critical role in the delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

As an Operative (B&C), you will be responsible for undertaking work as allocated safely and efficiently. You will also be required to undertake team leader duties and responsibilities of an Artisan when necessary.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out work safely and in accordance with the safe systems of work procedures, method statements or other instructions.
  • Undertake work and associated duties for which you are trained and competent.
  • Undertake work activities as directed, in a safe and efficient manner and in accordance with all relevant standards.
  • Check that vehicles, plant, tools, equipment and materials under your control are fit for use and are used/stored and disposed of correctly.
  • Contribute to your own development.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to work as part of a team, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and hold and retain competencies relevant to this post, required by the business need.

Desirable Qualifications
