Role Overview:
ICAP is on the lookout for a distinguished Electronic Trading Business Analyst eager to elevate their career to the Senior Business Analyst level. This role is integral to our rapidly expanding electronic trading division, where you will undertake project management and analytical tasks to design and implement effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders, including quants, business owners, developers, and vendors, to comprehend and analyze business drivers and requirements.
- Lead project analysis and manage the delivery of technology solutions that meet business needs.
- Draft detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and release notes, along with other necessary communication materials.
- Collaborate with product teams and vendors to ensure accurate translation of requirements into effective solutions.
- Implement configuration changes in partnership with product support specialists and vendors.
- Drive projects within a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Facilitate product reviews and user acceptance testing to ensure business objectives are met.
- Assess and prioritize software issues, advocating for timely resolutions.
- Provide training and support to various business areas, including trading and customer support teams.
- Coordinate data analysis projects for compliance and internal stakeholders.
- Lead discussions on customer-facing trade life cycles.
- Maintain a technical understanding of product architecture to balance user needs with technical constraints.
- Oversee reconciliation projects between client-facing functions and internal stakeholders.
Essential:
- Experience as a Business Analyst in an electronic trading environment.
- Strong grasp of technology and the product development lifecycle.
- Exceptional project management and analytical skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, scope, and estimate effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with FIX protocol and SQL.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with Execution Management Systems.
- Familiarity with Asana and Slack.
- Knowledge of Fixed Income and/or Futures.
