We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Creative Support, a non-profit provider of person-centred support for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and other support needs.

The successful candidate will provide personal care, practical, and emotional support to people with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs, identifying and accessing opportunities for social inclusion, and working with service users, families, and professionals to provide a consistent and coordinated service.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing person-centred support to service users, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as domestic chores and home maintenance
  • Supporting service users with emotional and social needs, including financial management and social inclusion
  • Collaborating with service users, families, and professionals to develop and implement individual support plans
  • Assisting with the day-to-day running of the service, under the guidance of the line manager

Requirements:

  • Warm and empathetic approach to working with service users
  • Ability to work in a person-centred way, promoting independence and well-being
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Full driving license (essential for this role)
