Research Scientist in Cardiac Electrophysiology

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team at the University of Bristol. As a Research Associate in Cardiac Physiology, you will be part of a dynamic research group focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying cardiac excitation-contraction coupling (ECC) and its regulation.
Key Responsibilities- Design, optimize, and execute experiments using whole-cell patch clamp, Ca2+ measurement, and imaging techniques.
- Analyze data and contribute to manuscript preparation, ensuring high-quality research output.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant literature and contribute to the development of research proposals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a productive and inclusive research environment.
- PhD in a relevant subject or nearing completion.
- Proven expertise in whole-cell patch clamp electrophysiology.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
