Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated Senior Civil Infrastructure Consultant to join our esteemed Development Team, focusing on civil and infrastructure engineering for land and property development initiatives.

In this role, you will collaborate with a talented group of Engineers ranging from entry-level to Chartered Associates, steering the design evolution process and overseeing the creation of design documentation, drawings, and technical reports to guide our clients, partners, and stakeholders from initial strategy through to construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing the daily technical delivery of civil engineering consultancy services, assisting our clients throughout all phases of the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and conceptual design to planning, detailed design, and construction.

Delivering technical proficiency in areas such as drainage, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), flood risk management, highways, streetscape design, earthworks, and utilities for diverse land, property, and infrastructure development projects across various sectors.

Providing project leadership on multiple interdisciplinary projects, taking on the role of Project Manager when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Proven knowledge and experience in highway design, drainage strategies, technical design, flood risk assessments, utility design, and a solid understanding of the development sector.
  • Experience in engaging with clients, co-professionals, and design teams, along with the ability to communicate effectively with highway, water, statutory, and local authorities to secure the required technical approvals and agreements related to development projects.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legal processes, planning, design, technical consent procedures, and contract protocols for the provision of sewers, SuDS, highways, and utilities for new developments and regeneration projects.
  • Capability to produce infrastructure master plans, site evaluations, technical reports, design calculations, and construction drawings.
  • Familiarity with relevant design codes such as Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Manual for Streets, Local Authority Design Guidance, and SuDS Manual, along with proficiency in preparing drawings for contract documentation and technical approvals.
  • Ability to utilize or oversee the use of relevant software including Micro Drainage, Info Drainage, Civils 3D, and/or PDS.
