About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Freedom of Information Lawyer to join our client, a well-established local authority in London. This is a locum position for a minimum of 3 months, with a view to extend longer term.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and advising on freedom of information (FOI) requests and miscellaneous GDPR matters. This role sits within the Contracts team, so there is also scope to get involved in contractual matters should you have the relevant experience.

We are looking for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEx with a strong background in FOI and data protection. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

The local authority is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment. The successful candidate will be well-supported in their role and will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging and interesting projects.
