The Technical Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of the Dreadnought programme. This role involves rationalizing technical assurance activities across the programme and ensuring that the Dreadnought programme aligns with the Strategic Defence and Security (SDS) and Royal Navy (RN) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the Dreadnought Alliance Tier 1 (SDA/Customer) Technical Assurance.
  2. Develop and maintain the Technical Management Plan and the Technical Assurance Management Plan in response to the formation of the Joint Design Authority.
  3. Develop and implement the Joint Design Authority Technical Governance Process to replace the Approving Authority Technical Governance Process.
  4. Manage the Dreadnought Alliance Technical Governance, including the transition from Approving Authority Technical Governance to Joint Design Authority Technical Governance.
  5. Provide assurance that the developing Technical Risk Management arrangements within the Dreadnought Alliance reflect the current and future levels of technical risk within the programme.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Background in engineering assurance or equivalent experience.
  2. Maritime engineering experience or equivalent.
  3. Degree qualified in engineering or STEM, or equivalent experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Submarine experience.
  2. Experience in risk management.
