Job Description

Amazon is seeking a seasoned design leader to drive innovation in payments experiences. As Head of UI/UX Design, you will be responsible for infusing design and research best practices into this growing business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and communicate the user experience design vision for multiple products across platforms
  • Lead a team of designers to create user-centered products
  • Guide teams to understand customers and their needs through market analysis, customer research, and feedback
  • Coach designers to use business requirements to develop use cases and high-level requirements
  • Support the design team with planning, prioritizing, and overseeing initiatives; manage projects; ensure timely delivery
  • Collaborate with senior leaders from Product Management, Marketing, and Engineering
Requirements
  • Experience in design and leading design teams
  • Experience managing teams and working cross-functionally
  • Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Axure
  • Knowledge of user experience principles and techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and lead complex projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with agile/scrum
  • Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and interaction design
