Key Responsibilities


Oversee the maintenance of all tool fitting apparatus, ensuring that equipment is secure for operation and remains safe for subsequent users.

Document any tool-related issues encountered during fitting operations.


Perform routine maintenance on machine components, seals, spray frames, and other related equipment.

Effectively communicate any concerns regarding tool and machine conditions, taking necessary actions within your competency to address these issues.

Execute machine setups and gain a comprehensive understanding of the operational processes involved.


Conduct initial sample drops of parts during tool fitting to verify that no issues arise with the tool setup.

Familiarize yourself with the first-off procedure and assist in the process as needed.


Capable of preparing and de-preparing tools, understanding the associated processes, and providing support when necessary.


Maintain machinery in accordance with the ownership program, enhancing both the visual appeal and functionality of the equipment.


Ensure all tool fittings and insert modifications are completed safely and to a high standard within designated timeframes.


Fulfill any reasonable requests from the team leader, which may include, but are not limited to, covering breaks, technical duties, 5S practices, housekeeping, and repair tasks.


Adhere to scheduled tool maintenance and perform repairs as required.


Ensure all tools are appropriately labeled and stored.


Carry out comprehensive tool overhauls and servicing, including re-securing cavities, re-drilling and re-tapping damaged or stripped bolts, and adding core vents as necessary.


Conduct monthly inventory checks and report any shortages.


Assist in training for tool preparation when required.


Complete all tool fittings and insert changes safely and to a high standard within the required timeframes, providing support to the team as needed.


Fill out the tooling report sheet and submit it to the tool supervisor whenever issues arise or improvements are suggested, while also providing feedback on the report.

Complete all other relevant documentation.


Adhere to 5S procedures at the beginning and throughout your shift.


Participate in one major improvement project and assist with ongoing enhancements.


Follow the daily production plan for tool fitting times and the sequence of preparations.


Perform combi-lift checks.
