Plant Maintenance Specialist

Are you a skilled professional looking for a new challenge in a dynamic and innovative company? Jenrick Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Engineer to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine, planned, and preventative maintenance work on production process machinery and equipment to ensure their availability and meet production demands.
  • Conduct reactive breakdowns, fault analysis, and timely repairs to plant machinery and equipment.
  • Focus on mixing plant and extrusion machinery and equipment to deliver increased quality and efficiencies.
  • Install, modify, and refurbish machinery and equipment, including site utility services, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Monitor and report the status of plant and extrusion machinery on a regular basis.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the Maintenance Manager and other maintenance and production personnel to review the status of all plant and machinery and formulate a schedule of work.
  • Complete and maintain maintenance activity records, including job cards, completed PMs, and follow-up actions.
  • Document equipment and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase quality and efficiencies.
  • Perform general facilities maintenance and repair work.

Requirements:

  • Hold a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship and/or a HNC in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or a similar relevant qualification.
  • Be familiar with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and possess skills in turning, milling, and bench work, as well as basic welding and fabrication.
  • Have previous maintenance-related experience gained in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastics or extrusion industry.
  • Have a sound mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of the mechanical aspects of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
  • Possess excellent knowledge and proven competence in general maintenance skills, particularly fault analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, automated equipment, electrics, and electric motors.
  • Be able to effectively communicate and work with other maintenance team members, managers, production supervisors, and team members, as well as quality and other plant functions.
  • Be an effective team player and able to work autonomously as required.
  • Be eligible to live and work in the EU and possess fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Be a confident and enthusiastic individual with a 'can-do' attitude.
