About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at CBW Staffing Solutions. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical services and supporting the maintenance of electrical services at a flagship historical venue in South Kensington.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain mechanical plant, including pumps, motors, seals, and bearings.
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on air conditioning systems, including air handling units and fan coil units.
  • Conduct water treatment checks and ensure temperature levels are within acceptable ranges.
  • Undertake repairs to HVAC plant and associated systems to a high standard.
  • Install, alter, and repair pipework systems as needed.
  • Perform all allocated tasks in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify and report faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
  • Ensure all H&S issues are reported and escalated as required.
  • Maintain informal communications with client staff members related to service levels and issues.
  • Report service-affecting issues to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
Working Hours and Package
  • 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (2 earlies, 2 lates, then repeat).
  • 07:00-17:30 (earlies), 16:00-02:00 (lates).
  • Cab home on late shift (must live within M25).

Requirements
  • Experience working in commercial building services.
  • Mechanically qualified.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Apprentice trained (desired but not essential).
  • Able to work the advertised hours.
  • Experience working within both landlord and tenant areas of a commercial premises (preferable).
