Behaviour Mentor

Prospero Teaching is working with a specialist behaviour provision in Preston, Lancashire, to find a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support students with additional needs and mental health issues.
The school caters to students of primary and secondary age, with a focus on working with 11-16 year olds in KS3/4. All students have EHCP plans and additional needs.
The pupils have often experienced trauma, neglect, or chaotic home lives, and it is essential to build strong relationships with them. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will act as a role model and mentor, using your skills to help students engage with the school.
Key responsibilities include:
- Forging strong relationships with pupils
- Using mentoring skills to help students engage with the school
- Supporting pupils in the classroom and on a vocational basis
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Behaviour Mentors or those with a strong background in mentoring children and young adults. Depending on performance, the school may consider extending the contract or offering a permanent position.
