Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity

Priory Hospital Preston is seeking a part-time Consultant Psychiatrist to join our experienced team on one of our acute wards. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide cross-cover to other wards when needed and contribute to the expansion of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients on our acute wards
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment of patients with complex mental health needs
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of hospital policies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must hold a CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry and have experience working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties. You will also need to maintain a registration with the GMC, including being on the special register for psychiatry.
