Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees and the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health, safety, and wellbeing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform safety inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for corrective action.
- Design and deliver training programs on health, safety, and wellbeing to ensure employees have the knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, providing reports and recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to promote wellbeing initiatives and improve employee health and morale.
- Prepare and present reports on health, safety, and wellbeing performance to senior management.
- Experience in managing safety for diverse facilities, including office buildings and laboratories.
- Professional certification: Nebosh Diploma or NVQ level 5, IOSH or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Competitive salary up to £60,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
- Annual Leave: 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays).
- Contributory pension – Defined Contribution - Maximum of 12% -2x employee contribution.
