About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees, contractors, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior management to develop and implement effective health, safety, and wellbeing strategies and policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential health, safety, and wellbeing risks.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees and contractors have the necessary knowledge and skills to work safely.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective health, safety, and wellbeing management systems.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on health, safety, and wellbeing matters to employees, contractors, and management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry associations.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant health, safety, and wellbeing legislation and regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in health, safety, and wellbeing management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and wellbeing legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification.
