About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Internal Communications Specialist to join our team at Travis Perkins. As the largest distributor of building materials in the UK, we are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with our colleagues and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal communications strategy to support our business objectives.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design and deliver effective communication plans that engage our colleagues and drive business results.
- Plan, write, and edit internal communications materials, including our Group weekly newsletter, to ensure consistent messaging and tone.
- Support strategic change programs and organizational change initiatives by developing and delivering communication plans that drive engagement and adoption.
- Work closely with HR to deliver our people strategy, including senior leadership development and meetings, employee value propositions, reward, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in internal communications and apply this knowledge to continuously improve our internal communications efforts.
Requirements
- Proven track record in developing successful internal communications strategies and delivering results-driven communication plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into compelling and engaging content.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders and colleagues.
- Hands-on approach, with a willingness to get stuck in and deliver outstanding results.
- Strong understanding of the latest thinking and best practices in internal communications.
