JOB TITLE: External Trolley Collectors
LOCATION: The Gyle Shopping Centre
CONTRACT: Full time
SHIFT PATTERN: 5 / 7, 40 hours per week
PAY RATE: £12.00 per hour
ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
As a key member of the ABM Cleaning Team, you will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the Gyle Shopping Centre. This prestigious retail location is easily accessible and offers convenient parking options for employees.
In this position, you will receive a uniform refresh annually, access to an employee benefits program, and various discounts from selected onsite retailers. ABM is dedicated to providing a supportive work environment, including a comprehensive Employee Assistance program that offers 24/7 support for all staff members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Uphold the high standards of the Gyle Shopping Centre by proactively addressing any issues in the car park, service areas, and walkways.
- Provide assistance to customers and retailers as needed.
- Respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Retrieve trolleys from the car park and return them to designated trolley bays.
- Ensure trolley bays are kept clean and free of debris.
- Perform external duties and other reasonable tasks as directed by ABM supervisors and managers.
- Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to changing daily priorities.
- Exhibit reliability and a proactive approach to your work.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong communication skills.
- A clean driving license is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to take initiative and ownership in the absence of supervision.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and compliance policies.
- Commitment to executing duties safely.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Training will be provided.
- Toolbox talks will be conducted.
