Renewable Energy Finance Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced finance professional to join our SSE Renewables Finance Leadership Team as a key commercial finance business partner. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of business partners supporting all Renewables technologies and will be the voice of SSE Renewables Finance across the business unit leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities- Be a key contributor to all investment and commercial decision-making papers submitted to the REC/GEC, ensuring financial impacts and risks are clearly identified and communicated.
- Ensure the MDs fully understand their divisions' financial and operational performance, and identify risks and opportunities to achieving budgets and forecasts.
- Play a key part in commercial, investment, and strategic decision-making within the SSE Renewables leadership teams, providing astute commercial challenge and applying industry knowledge and experience to support and challenge throughout the decision-making process.
- Act as the main finance point of contact for relevant M&A activity within the business unit.
- Identify emerging themes that can impact financial and operational performance, and clearly articulate potential financial outcomes and opportunities for mitigation/maximization.
