As a Consents and Land Graduate at SSE Renewables, you will embark on a two-year graduate programme that offers a unique blend of onshore and offshore experiences. You will work closely with experts in their field, gaining exposure to various business areas and developing a comprehensive understanding of the renewable energy sector.
The programme is designed to provide a structured yet flexible learning experience, allowing you to explore different areas of interest and contribute to the development of SSE's renewable energy projects. You will have the opportunity to engage with stakeholders, including local authorities, landowners, consultees, and communities, and work on a variety of renewable projects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in establishing, advising, and implementing consenting mechanisms for renewable energy projects.
- Engage with SSER's development site origination processes and assist in negotiating land purchases and agreements.
- Gain experience in building and maintaining landowner relationships and obligations to the land where operational assets are located.
- Work with a range of experts to develop a comprehensive understanding of the renewable energy sector.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a genuine passion and interest in the energy sector. You should have a minimum of a 2:2 in the desired degree disciplines and be comfortable working to and setting stretching individual targets. Our graduates are agile in their thinking and seek to address knowledge gaps, so you should be able to work independently and use your own initiative to overcome challenges.
