About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Ward Manager to join our team at Black Country Job Support. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Ward Manager in developing effective ward rotas and managing skill mix, addressing staff shortages through effective communication with the ward team and Bank Nurse service.
  • Undertake and support team members through processes such as Professional Development planning and Clinical Supervision.
  • Contribute to the development of junior members of staff and students, promoting an environment conducive to learning.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed by self and others as required.
  • Ensure an open channel of communication/information to the team and other members of the multi-disciplinary team, including active engagement with care coordinators under CPA to identify appropriate resources to support the patient upon discharge from hospital.
