Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Store Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Store Manager to join our team at Lidl. As a Deputy Store Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the store, working closely with the Store Manager to ensure the smooth running of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Operations: Independently manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring that all store operations run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the store team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring that the store is fully stocked and that stock is rotated regularly.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that the store is maintained to a high standard of health and safety, complying with all relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience of leading and developing a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide a high level of service to customers.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues that may arise.
