We are currently looking for a Senior Cryogenic Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in the design and optimization of cryogenic systems that are essential for our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop advanced cryogenic systems, including refrigeration and liquefaction units, cryostats, and storage solutions.
  • Utilize principles of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics to enhance cryogenic processes.
  • Conduct research to innovate new cryogenic technologies and refine existing systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in cryogenics and related disciplines.
  • Perform simulations and experiments to evaluate cryogenic equipment and systems.
  • Analyze data to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications and maintenance guidelines.
  • Present findings and project updates to stakeholders and management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cryogenic systems into various projects.
  • Engage with suppliers, manufacturers, and external contractors as necessary.
  • Optimize existing systems for enhanced efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  • Contribute to research and development projects aimed at advancing cryogenic processes and applications.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of control instrumentation and cryogenic turbomachinery.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in controls and instrumentation for process automation.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, or green card holder due to contractual obligations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and completing cryogenic projects.
  • Strong grasp of engineering principles, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
  • Proficiency in control systems software and CAD tools for system design.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols related to cryogenic materials.
  • Experience with cryogenic fluids, including liquid nitrogen, helium, and hydrogen.
  • Familiarity with helium liquefaction and recovery processes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
  • Advanced certifications or training in cryogenic engineering.
