About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work in a palliative care setting, providing specialist psychological assessments and interventions to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of patients and their families, using a range of assessment tools and techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account the patient's physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Provide specialist psychological advice and guidance to other healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other therapists.
  • Collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and support for patients and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to palliative care and psychological services.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience of working in a palliative care setting, or a similar healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
