Job Overview

Beatson Clark Plc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Decorating Plant, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular AQL assessments on decorated stock to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform MEK and cross-hatching tests on decorated containers to verify paint adhesion and durability.
  • Maintain accurate records of tests, including batch references, to facilitate tracking and analysis.
  • Verify paint levels and conduct visual quality tests on containers to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Operate automatic packing machinery to ensure efficient and accurate packaging.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement preventative corrective action plans.
Person Specification
  • Proven knowledge of the glass industry, with a strong understanding of quality control processes.
  • Working expertise in Microsoft Office suite, with experience in creating and managing reports.
  • Ability to interpret and evaluate test results, with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve quality control issues.
  • GCSEs in Maths, English, and a Science, with a grade C or above.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of quality control principles and practices, with the ability to apply them in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will also need to be highly organized, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
