Our UK Deal Teams

Our UK deal teams are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Off-Cycle Investment Analyst Intern to support our Development Capital UK deal team during an internship of 6 months or more from September/October 2024. Candidates who can extend their tenure will be looked upon favourably.

About the Role

This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who want to broaden their experience in the Private Equity industry. As an intern, you will work closely with investment professionals in one of our IK's UK deal teams and assist with the appraisal of potential investment opportunities (both quantitative and qualitative) in the UK. The work is highly diverse, and you will gain investing and operational experience across a wide range of sectors.

  • Deal sourcing; sourcing exercises and updating pipeline information
  • Analyzing potential investment opportunities
  • Conducting research and preparing background information
  • Business and operational analysis
  • Assisting with internal presentations
  • Assisting the team with portfolio reporting
  • Project-related portfolio work
  • Financial modeling and valuation

Our Expectations

  • Relevant academic focus, e.g., finance, economics, and engineering
  • Prior first work experience through relevant internships in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, M&A advisory, strategic consulting, or comparable internships
  • Excellent academic track record
  • Financially literate and analytical mindset
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Fluency in European languages a plus
