About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Laing O'Rourke. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business units and delivering high-quality financial services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation and reporting of Joint Venture accounts, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Monitor project cash flow forecasts, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or concerns.
  • Collaborate with finance and commercial teams to ensure seamless financial reporting and analysis.
  • Perform financial reviews and credit checks on prospective employers, JV partners, and suppliers, providing recommendations to the procurement and commercial teams.
  • Support the Infrastructure Portfolio Finance Team in delivering ad-hoc project work, including cash maximization, efficiency reviews, and new accounting standard implementation.
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or finalist.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Focused on meeting deadlines, with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research complex issues and provide innovative solutions.
